 We’ve all heard the saying that beauty is only skin deep.  But, Oh that layer!  It tells so much about what’s really going on underneath it all.  The key is hydration!  Your skin is the largest organ of the body consisting of trillions of cells that need to be fed and hydrated from the inside out.  The quality of the cells we see at the top epidermis reflect what’s going on down below.  Most of us think drinking more water will suffice but your cells want more.  They want nutrients for energy and vitality along with plenty of moisture.  Not only to keep them supple but to keep them clean and nourished.  We want our skin to look alive, supple and blemish free.  What’s the best way to keep the skin beautiful?  Lots of fresh, organic raw foods!  Fresh fruits to be exact.  Why fruits?   Fruits are astringent, alkalizing and naturally detoxify at the cellular level.  Since fruits naturally are chocked full of purified water they flush out toxins and hydrate at the same time.  You are consuming life when you eat fruits.  Fruits contain loads of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.  What about raw veggies?  Veggies are good for building new cells but to get down deep to clean and hydrate fruits don’t mess around, they are a lot more aggressive than veggies.  A diet including plenty of raw fruit will make a difference in your appearance and vitality. 


 What fruits are the best?  Melons are great for super hydration and electrolytes.  Dark berries such as blueberries or blackberries are a good source of antioxidants.  Grapes are the main fruit for keeping the lymph system clean and moving. Did you know that watermelon will protect you from damaging sun rays?  In fact an alkaline body cannot be hurt by the sun.  Only acidic bodies are susceptible to skin cancer!  Acidic foods consist of dairy, meats, sodas, alcohol, refined sugar, and all cooked foods.   Our bodies need to have a perfect balance of alkalinity and acid.  Unfortunately we are feeding our bodies too much acid.  This is what dehydrates and clogs our system up.  By adding more raw fruits and veggies into our diets will alkalize our system.  The best time to eat your fruit is first thing in the morning before you consume anything else.  Always eat fruit by itself so the simple sugars can go directly into the cell wall for clean dynamic energy.
